My Senior concept explores the enduring presence of war throughout history, highlighting its violence and suffering. Inspired by artist Daniel Lismore, known for his bold wearable sculptures, I envision a collection with a color palette reflecting the harsh realities of conflict—using army greens, deep burgundy reds, and mustard yellows, along with textured fabrics.
My designs aim to convey chaotic emotions surrounding war, making models appear as if they've just experienced destruction. Targeting fashion rebels who appreciate bold statements, my competitors include avant-garde brands like Comme des Garçons and Alexander McQueen.
This collection addresses not only fashion but also the global state of affairs, provoking questions about the reasons behind war and the cost of violence. I aspire to reveal contrasts between good and evil and challenge viewers to confront the brutal realities of conflict, ultimately asking, "Why is there war?"
